About the DIRECTOR

Cara Lavallee has directed Episcopal Academy’s Dance Program since 2013 and served as the Head Coach for Middle and Upper School Dance Teams. She brings experience in K-12 and collegiate level coaching. Coach Lavallee has cross-trained in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical and modern dance and holds a Masters in Education from Temple University. Graduates of EA’s Dance Program now perform with companies at Vanderbilt, NYU, and Brown.

Sample Schedule

  • 9 a.m.   Skill Session focused on daily dance style

  • 11 a.m.  Specialty Session (i.e. Nutrition, team building, body awareness training, guest speakers)

  • 12 p.m.  Lunch

  • 1:30 p.m.  Performance Session routines and choreography with daily dance style
